Sorry if I offended anyone (or made people think that I was offending others). Tone of voice is hard to convey when not resorting to smileys. 
I was concerned that he didn't know what clay did. His post asking if polish would do what clay did showed he did not know the difference.
I've been suggesting that David B article constantly lately since it seems that many people come in with new black cars they've improperly washed and want to undo the damage with a polish, but haven't considered the cause. I feel that proper washing is the most important thing you can do for your new car. I think clay is a wonderful product, and hey, I like polish too, but polish doesn't clay.
Again, didn't mean to offend. Thanks for calling me out for not properly signifying tone of voice as light and conversational. Good to know things worked out, even with my assumed but not real rudeness over the weekend.

I know the difference between clay and polish.
I've clayed 3 cars (96 Firebird, 01 Bonneville, 00 Camaro) and got good results. but i never actually polished any of them. I have tha detailing guide from autopia, but i dont remember if it said thaty polishing would remove the embedded particulate matter from teh paint.
thats why i asked.
now my car is all :bounce
