Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer - Reviewed

I'd really like to see Meguiars come out with a version of this product with more (as in standard vinyl/rubber dressing) UV protection because I just love how it looks....or should I say, doesn't look!

I don't know how that would be possible and still make it streak/smear free on glass.

Spray it on a towel and wipe on the dash, door panels, etc. Overspray problem solved. :xyxthumbs

I picked up this product yesterday at Pep Boys and tried it on my car. I like it: decent cleaning ability, nice dispenser, good scent, somewhat matte finish. One thing I wish it had was a way to control the spray diameter.

Recommended. :xyxthumbs

That is EXACTLY what I do. I love this product and feel that it really fills a gap in the autopian range of products. I keep a bottle in my car to use when I am waiting for extended periods. Works great!!

There's an interesting topic. Is it possible to have UV protection if the product does not leave a film?

question:

I've often wondered how much protection we get when we wipe off the film with a microfiber any way. is it that it penatrates into the plastic and not on top?

I have a 350Z and the door panels are "dimpeled" for lack of a better word...and to date all I have been able to do is wipe the down with MF and cleaning solution - anyone else who has tried a protectant has wound up with a "splotchy" mess on their hands...could this be my solution?

mrzeeee: I use Adam's VRT which dries to a low gloss sheen and is dry to the touch. I had smearing problems with 303 Aerospace in the past and some others. That could be your option with this as touch ups.

I've never had smearing problems with 303 myself.

The Megs product may possibly be too matte for some. On my Lexus and Toyota it can be hard to tell where it has been. I like the Wolfgang better in this respect since it leaves a bit of shine behind.

Lee: With my black interior, even with overnight drying, as soon as I put my arm to rest on the door, it removed very easy whereas Adam's stays intact.
