Meguiars No. 26 yellow wax

Ever since I bought Klasse I haven't used my Meguiars wax in the longest time. So I stored the liquid wax in my garage for like 2 years. So today I took the bottle for the first time and shook it. I noticed it felt like it was all water. I shook it for a minute and when I poured it on a paper towel I saw yellow fluid. Is this supposed to happen after the wax has been stored and untouched for a long period of time?

The #26 has probably froze at some point during the two years, and has seperated, therefore no longer usable. Go buy more #26 or another carnuba of your choice.

Is the wax curddled looking or was it just separated and now is back to a uniform color(after shaking)?

If it is curddled, it is no good. But, if it back to a uniform color, then it is probably just fine! :)

Not true... Meg #66 and #26 does "separate" if you don't touch the container for a couple of months. Even if you store it in small bottles... Just shake it up real good and it'll be back to its creamy state. #26 will separate into a yellow oil + creamy off white. #66 will separate into a blue liquid + green cream.

I had #26 Yellow Hi Tech wax that has been sitting for who knows how many years. Never frozen, but it did seperate into a clear liquid and a yellow pudding. So I shook it up, didn't really help, then I figured what the hey, took off the top, put it in the microwave for 15 seconds, and viola, it was good as new, returned it to a nice creamy yellow paste.

Give it a try, I didn't think it would work, my guess is the wax got heated up and melted and recombined with the other chemicals.:cooleek:

I'm bumping this post again.

I just did a quick detail on my daily driver on sunday in preparation for winter, and pulled out my Meg's #80 + #26. I hadn't used my #26 Hi-Tech liquid wax in probably ~4-5 years or so, but I shook it up real good and applied it by PC and it turned out great!
