What's the smallest pad size that this will accept?

Any standard DA backing plate will attach to it, but I wouldn't go any smaller than a 5.5" pad.

I might be interested in trying the headlight protectant. Wonder if it contains any abrasives to it since on their forum it is mentioned that it comes from the headlight restoration kit?

Just get a little bottle and mix the 2! It's ok to cross streams with compounding chemicals, these guys said it was ok

That's what I ended up doing. Helps improve the cut of D300, reduces the dusting of #105.
