Meguiar's microfiber wash mitt

Has anybody else been totally disappointed with the meguiar's mf wash mitt?

I purchased 3 from autogeek for lower body work (I liked the micro-chinelle for upper), and even after a polish the lower sections are completely trashed. I cd tested all 3 and all 3 (whether wet or dry) scratched the hell out the cd.

This is the one I'm referring to

Meguiars Microfiber Wash Mitt

I'd send back any MF wash mitt that mars the paint.

I like my MF mitts for some jobs, my sheepskin ones for others.

This makes two different Meguiar's brand wash mitts that people have found unsafe to use. Not good :nono

Normally I cd test evreything I use, but in the case of these mitts I figured that since they're from Meguiar's they're probably good. Not so :D

Heh heh, wash mitts from Meguiar's are something I'd be inclined *not* to trust!

What would be that second one? Dont say the lambs wool mitt... please no.... (clearly a novice)

I just ran out to the garage and CD tested three brand new Meguiar's Wash mitts. I pulled these, the Meg's Ultra Plush Wash Mitt, the Deep Pile Chenille Wash Mitt and the Ultra Plush Chenille Wash Pad right from the factory packaging. They didn't damage a CD no matter how vigorously I rubbed.

If you are not getting the same results, I'd give Meg's a call, 800-347-5700. They offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee as clearly stated on the packaging.

jfelbab- That's good to know, I agree that efnfast oughta contact Meguiar's and tell 'em he got a bad one.

No, not their lambswool one...I foget the exact name, I want to say "golden...[something]" or "spun gold" or something like that.

It was a synthetic mitt that *looked* a lot like (real) lambswool.

A guy here marred up his car something awful and was shocked to find it was from the synthetic fibers of that washmitt.
