Meguiars Microfiber Quik Detail Pad

Does anyone really use this for quick detailing? It was included with the Meguiars Gold Class Accessories kit I picked up at Sam's Club.

Seems pretty large for it's intended purpose. It looks more like a wash sponge to me.

This is what it looks like.

Any thoughts?

Works great for applying any of the Meguiars spray waxes as well. I find that it loads up too quickly with QD, but it's not bad.

I use it as a wash sponge and I like it a lot. It's a little thinner/more flexible than the similar Bone wash sponge sold by Autogeek and SMP. I especially liked it last fall when I got a couple at half price on clearance at AutoZone, and some more at just over half price from ADS.

I specifically use the detail pad for applying NXT spray wax. Really easy to hold and the wax is just thick enough not to be absorbed completely into the pad. I tried with a QD but the nap just did not seem long enough nor was there enough MF strands for my liking - the interior sponge sucked up too much QD.

I use mine as a wash sponge as well. I like it because it still can whisk dirt away, yet it holds a good amount of soap and water; which allows me to squeeze out suds and water as needed on a panel.

I have to point out that the list price on this is $3.99...I wasn't hugely impressed with the Big Lots price. Obviously, it's better than list, so if it's no big deal to go there...all those Meg's accessories sold out pretty quickly at my Big Lots.
