Meguiar's High Endurance Tire Gel?

found some of the high gloss stuff at Autozone down the road, the others were out.

This may work, although I've never tried the High Gloss version, just the regular usually. This looks more liquidy, the other looks a little more solid and a lighter purple, this definately looks more liquified?

I have the high gloss version because it was the only one I could find. It's ok but I like the orig. better. I usually spray the applicator with some water before I wipe the tire. It helps cut the shine down some.

I wont use anything but megs high endurance high gloss gel.

I totally agree. I love the black/wet look of Endurance High Gloss Gel. I've been using this product for 7 years and I've never had any problem with it getting on the paint. The only thing it ever gets on is my hands which are easy to clean. It can be a little tough to apply on sidewalls that are not too flat, but using an EO tire swipe helps a lot.

I will say that I will never, ever, ever again use a spray on product for my tires. These products get all over my garage floor and make it slippery and stained. If I spray them out in the driveway instead they leave a stain there as well. Gel products go right on the tire and stay there.

On a side note, I found it surprising to find that Mike Phillips posted in this thread. I guess 2 years ago he was a member of this board.

I love my GC Endurance Original Shine!

I don't have any real problems with the narrow decorative ribbing on the side of the tires, but they tend to hold a tiny bit of water which helps it spread a bit better

I use the tire swipe that came with the kit (the gray plastic handle), which seems less dense than the Eagle One swipes so it absorbs any excess and reapplies it in bare areas

I wanted to buy Megs High Gloss Endurance but everyone kept telling me how messy it is to use, plus I have A/T tires on my suv and the white lettering and everything which apparently would make it a pain to work in. I think I'm just going to get the Armour All Gel OTC, said to be very easy to use and dries dry. I have Megs Insane Shine Spray right now and will never buy it again, can never seem to get an even coating and aersol sprays everywhere, plus it doesn't really dry which causes dirts and dust to attract to it and become almost glued to the tire.

I have used Meg's High Endurance for a few years now. I think the stuff is just awesome. I apply it with a tire applicator that is contoured to fit the tire. I apply to all 4 tires, then when I'm done I go back around with an old towel and wipe off any excess. It looks great and lasts a very long time.

I just started using a paint brush to apply it, works WAY better than a tire swipe (thats what ive been using for quite a few years). With a paint brush it is much easier to apply and you use WAY less product. Still very easy to apply with a tire swipe and no mess with a tire swipe either. I dont know why anyone would say its messy or hard to apply.

Coupe beat me to it. I've seen several threads (with pics) about applying Endurance with a nylon paint brush. This is the easiest way to apply a gel to me - saves product, doesn't get on your hands, nice even application and brush is easy to clean with a strong application of Dawn. I think this may reduce sling, also. I don't like sponges/applicators but that's just me.

Yup. Just like Coupe and E-jug said, I tried a toothbrush to get into the crevices. A paint brush will probably work even better due to the bigger area. And it is definitely a conservative way to use the gel. Very little gel wasted. I think I like it!
