meguiars deep crystal car wash soap remove wax?

It shouldn't, but it may reduce the slickness of the LSP. I used it for years because of the price and it worked great, but when you can get a gallon of GC wash at target for 10 bucks, it's hard to justify getting their cheap wash.

I am new, don't relay on my oppinion mush, but after all that reading I did I would expect any of the specific car wash solutions to be more gentle on wax than J&J Baby shampoo I have been using for years. Aren’t car wash products generally designed to take of dirt and not react with wax?

:grinno: I could be completely wrong :grinno:

They are designed to gently lift and remove dirt/grime but may reduce the slickness by very very little (following the recommended amout that is).

Actually, the only wash soap I use now is the Deep Crystal wash. If I could find GC anywhere I'd try it, but the DC wash takes away less of the slickness compared to NXT wash, so I've stuck with it. And it's pretty cheap too, so you can't go wrong.

Washing with the DC soap and my new Excel sheepskin = a wonderful experience! Where has sheepskin been all my life?!?!? :)

I'm not sure where there is a Target. I'll have to look around the area. I just moved here a couple weeks ago, so I'm not familiar with all the stores/businesses we have here. I'll have to look in the phone book. Maybe I'll stop in there someday, but I've got a quart-size bottle of DC soap that's still half-full, and since I only get to wash my car the traditional way about once a month, that'll last me a long time before I need to buy more. I use QEW twice a week or so. Good ol' apartment life :)

Yeah we have Targets around here. I just didn't know if there was one around this area.

I figured it would be on Hwy 10 if we had one. Everything's on Hwy 10.
