It's interesting that different people have had such different results with this product. I have read that it needs to be worked some to get the best results. The dusting doesn't sound good, though.JaredPointer said:I've used Color-X quite a bit, and I have found that it doesn't stain trim. As long as you actually wipe it off any trim you get it on. I've used it to clean the trim around the windows on my Tacoma (black rubber) and I think it did a fine job. In my book, it's one of the best one-steps available, OTC or boutique brand.
NOTE: I don't get Color-X for it's protective abilities, as I will almost always top it with something else.

The use of it on trim is something I picked up on here, trying it out after reading posts by folks such as yourself who had good results using something similar (i.e. Klasse AIO) on trim.
That's pretty much how I use it on the trim. I don't allow it to sit on the trim very long in any case.
