what do you guys think of this product? is it any good or will it ruin my carpets? are there any other meguiars carpet cleaning products i should look at?

I have used it for a while now. I like it, removes most stains and smells great. I wish it was available in larger sizes.

I would probably look at APC+ in the detailer line if you want something more versatile and economic.

I'm not familiar with this specific product but I think you can rest assured that no Meguiars' product will ruin what it's intended to be used on. Just follow their directions and it will work fine.

A lot of the members of this forum use APC+ from the Detailer line but it is difficult if not impossible to obtain outside the USA. It's a very concentrated all purpose cleaner that they dilute for carpets.

Personally, I use either 1001 or Bissell shampoo and a wet/dry vacuum cleaner but the Megs carpet cleaner should be fine.

BTW APC+ is available through either Megs UK direct or young Creasey at seriousperformance!

I liked it when I used it, took care of stains and wasn't difficult to use. Only thing I didn't like was the residue it left on interior vinyl/plastics. It almost felt soapy to me.

My preference is Blue Corals Dry Clean for its light soapy fragrance. I also don't get the residue I get with the Megs product. Instead I get a clean dry surface ready for my protectant of choice.

Some carpet cleaning products Ive found good (as well as APC+) are Stoner's , Zep ( from Home Depot) and Folex.

I'm quite impressed with Folex's ability to remove spots without the need to rinse. Very versatile product for use on carpets as well as many fabrics

It's pretty good, but APC+ is just as good & at 12:1 for carpets & 20:1 for upholstery it costs a fraction; clean all the car carpets on Malta with a gallon:D
