meguiars 7, 9, and 26

ive never used any of them, let aloen seen the bottles (yes i know im an idiot, im ordering soon) but with 7, 9, and 26, you do the whoel car, right? im thinkin of washin my car, clay bar-ing, then 7, 9, 26. does htis sound ok? thanks guys

Couple of things.

The sequence should be #9, then #7, then #26, and yes you do the whole car, unless for some reason, you only have swirls on one part, then you would only use #9 (Swirl Remover) for that part.

The other thing is to go and read Mike Phillips post on #7 usage prior to use to ensure you do it most effectively.

As others have already stated, the order should be #9, #7 and #26.

#9 swirl mark remover is for removing light marring such as swirls. It can be applied by hand but, don't get discouraged if it doesn't remove the problem on the first pass. It could take several applications depending on the severity. What you need to look out for is that after a couple of applications the problems still persist and don't appear to be lessening you will need to use a more agressive product or apply #9 by machine such as a dual action polisher.

#7 show car glaze contains oils that fill in minor imperfections or poors in the the paint leaving a perfectly smooth surface to top with wax. It does add noticable gloss as well. The look is awesome all by itself but, does not offer any protection so you definitely need to top it with wax or it will wash away.

#26 high tech yellow wax is a carnauba/polymer blend. It will not dry white on your black plastic or rubber trim. This is my favorite wax, it gives the Red Paint on my Mustang a deep rich glow that I have not been able to get with any other product. If you apply it thin it can be just as easy to use as S100.

I wish I had some current pictures as I just did a quick detail the other day. 18 hours of driving to and back from Florida and lots of road destruction in my neighborhood have taken its toll. I will be detailing it again this weekend and will add another album to my webshots page which you can link to in my sig.
