Meguiar's 2005 at Advance Auto

I went in search of Meg's new 2005 products yesterday. I checked all the name brand auto stores and the only one that had more than 2-3 of the new 205 products was advance auto.



No one has any of the brushes.



I bought Insane tire spray for $6.96. They had the NXT paste wax for like $15.00 and the detailer spray and interior spray.



I also found a cool lug nut brush for 3.98, first one I had seen.
 
Well, after all the new product buzz on here, I went to Poop Boys and found nothing new. AutoNova, you and some of the others who have found these products are pretty much right in the back yard of the Meg's plant, so that may explain it. That and the fact that we are at least 2 months away from any serious detailing weather up here in the northeast.
 
Yeah, I am lucky we have a distribution wharehouse here in Chattanooga so I can get all the Professional line products at cost which is huge. I can also get the retail products but no sense in using those compared to the Detailer's line.



I can't wait till they get the 2005 line. Where is the Meg's plant?
 
My old Meg's bottles say Nashville. Some newer than that say Newport Beach CA, while the new ones say Irvine, CA. At some point they moved the offices to CA (I guess to be in the car-craziest part of the country), but the plant still seems to be in TN, cuz when you order online it ships from "Meguiar's Distribution Center, Portland, TN". Don't know if that's a warehouse, with the actual manufacturing plant nearby, or if they actually make the stuff in CA but still maintain a distribution point east of the Mississippi (I suspect not, that the mfg. is still done in TN).

Meguiars HQ is still in Irvine but, they recently moved the warehouse to TN and located it on the same property with the manufacturing plant. Kind of makes sense when you think about it. Why make the product in TN, ship it to CA and then dirstribute it from there? Now, they make it and distribute it from TN.
 
I wonder if the Plant/Warehouse in Portand, TN would sell to a detailing business? I'll be registered as TopShine this springa nd would love to make the short drive to save some $$.
 
I stopped by the Advanced yesterday and they had 3 new products: Insane Tire Shine, NXT Paste, Interior Detailer (name?).



They also had a clearance section that had NXT Spray Wax, Megs #7 (4.85 I believe), Zymol detailer and some other things. I held off on buying anything for now, but Im sure it wont be long before I go back.
