Do you guys think it would be OK to use NXT spray as a "booster" for other polymer LSPs (like UPP or SG)? I would not try to put NXT sealent on top of SG or UPP because it has some cleaning properties. But, I wondered if the booster spray had similar issues or was safe to use to enhance the shine of my existing finish (in the same way that many of us use SONUS).
 
It will probably be fine.



Fwiw, I did apply NXT over SG, about six weeks after the I did the SG. The results were fantastic. It's been a few weeks now, and things are still looking and feeling superb. I really hate to say it, but it's much better then SG alone in my limited experience.
 
personal opinion -- the NXT spray is crap.... I can't get it to work without smearing; I find it's better to just use the regular liquid and re-apply if I want extra protection. If you want booster, buy good old-fashioned quik-wax.
 
recently purchased NXT booster wax and have used it twice so far. the first time i put it on way to thick. the second time i applied it as then as i could and let dry to a haze taking a plush microfiber towel to take it off and another to finish it. the results were terrific. this was all over P21S.



i like the product. IMHO
 
I think the key is to apply it with very thin coats and to shake the bottle really well before using.

Funny you should say that. I have S100 on top of a few coats of SG right now. I was just wanting something to get a little more pop after my weekly wash. I have Sonus and Final Inspection but neither is ideal for use with S100.



Anyway, I'm going to experiement with it now, see how it does with S100, and then how it does with SG and UPP.

I guess I will have to look into that, because I am underwhelmed by the NXT Booster Spray. I love the wax but don't really like the spray.

... Final Detail or its replacement. Excellent "POP" over any type LSP.



I too was not impressed with NXT Booster. Not initially but after a couple of days, the "POP" was gone. :nixweiss



I too need to read Mike's write-up and play with it some more.

I've done a wowo kind of method with it as well, it works really well that way(i simply apply and wipe off all residue before it hazes). I have also done it the recommended way. Both give great results.
 
I have used NXT spray on my own car which has #83, #80, and NXT x2 in the particular order. I applied the spray after a week and just right after washing, and following Mike's method. I have to say I like the result! Dunno, if it's becuase of the polish though or what has been previously applied. However, even before using the spray, the depth and gloss has already been there...
 
I have applied the NXT Booster Spray using the MF method in Mike's thread on Meguiarsonline. I must say it works pretty well. I like the product a lot more now that I am using it correctly. My only complain now is the sprayer nozzle is too scattershot and I was finding little white dots on the trim, in the grill, etc that required some clean-up after using the Booster Spray. I may just change out the sprayer with one of my extras and see if that directs the spray in a more focused pattern.

i too, noticed the little spots or blotches that came with the sprayer. this was when i sprayed directly unto the painted surface. the next time i used the product i sprayed directly to a microfiber pad and the problems with blotches did not matter. using the microfiber pad allowed me to put on a thin layer and it was quick to put on and very easy to take off.

I didn't like it at first either, but the faster you try to work it, the better it works. Try spraying it on the applicator, swiping it around as quickly and as lightly as you can (stay away from crevices) and wipe it off quickly. That's the way to get the best results. If you apply it like a wax, it's no better than waxing.
