Megs super degreaser

PA DETAILER

DETAILED TODAY?
Meguiar

Nearing the end of my APC+. After some reading, at 1:4 this should be a great tire cleaner. Dilutes the same as APC+. And just a good all around APC. Any users of the super degreaser?

I bought some Super Degreaser to use for enginebay cleanup. It is okay but I don't use it as much as I thought. It is okay for some tire clean up but its not a full APC.

Same here. I tend to use it on the wheel wells here and there and engine bay cleaning. I have not used it on tires yet as I usually use D103 or D143.

PA have you considered getting D101?

Well its ordered, so i'll draw my own conclusions. I got it for tires and wells and engine clean up. I have enough APC+ left that i can mix up for interiors only. D101 i have read is really for interior use only. But there was a thread that it did make a good tire cleaner for some. To be truthfull, i found APC+ a OK tire cleaner, but nothing outstanding. I was thinking the super degreaser would amp up the cleaning ability. Read reviews on it that it was a good tire cleaner.

I haven't used the D108 so I can't comment on it specifically. However; if you are looking for an inexpensive and very effective tire cleaner you ought to try the ZEP 505 that is sold at Lowes and Home Depot for about $9 a gallon. This stuff puts normal APC's to shame when it comes to tire cleaning. If I did not have the Tuff Shine cleaner this would definitely be my second choice. I have scrubbed tires with OPC and thought they were clean and went back over them with the 505 and it pulled out all kind of extra brown crud from the tire. It reminds me of Tuff Shine in its ability to pull silicones out of rubber. I do not spray directly on wheels as it has a PH level of 11.5.

:notme: Mixed 4:1 Been using it on tires. I am finding no problem with it. In fact a bit better than APC+ at the same ratio.

Have used this for years to clean engines, compartments, under the hood, the cowl, and any greasy, oily places, and my pressure washer to rinse it all off.
Never had any problems, issues, etc..
I like it because it works, is not crazy foamy, etc., at all, rinses clean, with no residue left behind..

You know all that greasy mess behind the gas filler door and in the gas filler areas? This stuff just flat removes it quickly..

I was on a quest a while back to find the best tire/wheel cleaner and after trying Megs and Mothers stuff...I decided that neither were worth the extra $$. Most of the time I can just use a little green APC and when I get a nasty one, it's Bleech White (let the hate begin!) and Majestic's wheel brite to the rescue. I will definitely give Zeps a shot next time I'm at the Depot. Come to think of it, I need to go there today.
