Megs Insane Tire Spray

I've used it on my Bimmer's tires (Megs Insane Tire Spray) and it didn't last for more than 2-3 days.

Longevity is not its strong suit.

:nixweiss The extreme shine fades a bit but on an F-150 work truck one of my customers has, the tires still looked pretty good a week later. It hadn't rained though so I don't know how it holds up to water.

One of the reasons I like the Inzane series of tire shine "is" it's ability to endure. It has been quite rainy here lately and the Inzane has held up well. What I really love is that the higher gloss does fade when driving in the rain but never completely leaves or adhere (turn pale) dirt during the trip. This product if applied with tire swipe has zero sling. :xyxthumbs

Though this product was intended for the compact crowd, the shine can be titrated to the level of one's desire. From a slightly above matte look to greasy kid stuff "inzane" level. :D

NXT shine is awesome on tires. I have actually had it hold up to wet weather better than my Z16. Those are just my tires as some others will differ in opinion of course.

I love the look of the product, but hated the sling. I mentioned in another post that I had sprayed it directly though, I will give it another try with the tire swipes because I picked up a few cans on sale. Like EBcivics said, I wiped it down the next morning before driving it after I let it set up to dry the day before and still had sling everywhere. It was a pain to get off all the body panels. So after getting everything off the panels I washed the tires with soap and water(tires were beading) and still had a little more sling even the next time I drove it. It seems to be quite durable...

It is funny some people like the shiny while others don't. Personally, I don't like shiny tires but I DO like shiny wheel wells, so I'll give it a try :D

For all those of you who don't think NXt inzane is for you, Mothers FX is glossy without being too shiny. Even better, new mothers reflections tire care is not shiny at all. Just matte "new rubber" look. I like reflections, my wife doesn't... so I guess NXt will go in the minivan :p

Hi Alex,

I am another person that does not like the "glazed donut" look on tires. What I have found is that if you clean the tires well and apply the Inzane with a swipe and work it into the rubber, you can produce an appearance quite similiar to my favorite tire detailer - Z16 - new fresh from the tire mold appearance. If you have time give this method a try. :wavey

I think I will be sticking with Eagle One Wet or Meguiars Hot Shine as my go to tire dressing.

For me it's a toss-up. I like Meg's Hot Shine, but my other "Go To" is Stoner's More Shine Less Time for Tires. :up

Interesting.....Reflectivity in a tire dressing.:p

I've been with EO Wet for a while with no plans of switching. I think this bottle is over 2 years old and was under $5. I have a brand new bottle of EF Black Opal which I feel obligated to use one of these days.

I tried this product recently and do not like it for a number of reasons. I can tolerate the glossy effect well enough. But the major thing I dislike about this stuff is that even when being careful not to over apply it, and wiping the "excess" off, there is still too much of this product left in a state which can get on light colored clothing if one brushes against the tire. (maybe I didnt remove enough?) 2 Days later, I got a perfect impression of the sidewall lettering on my slacks while inspecting a wheel. It stayed wet, or gummy for a couple days I guess....

Oh yeah, I forgot, it has to be really carefully applied because it sticks invisibly to the wheels and is only evident when it picks up dirt.... :nixweiss

IMHO, If you are not careful with this stuff, straight back to the wash bucket you go !:nono

Sorry to bump such an old thread, but I got a free bottle(from that Meguiars survey online a few months ago) of this tire shine a few months ago and have been slowly using it up.

My technique has been to spray this on a terry cloth applicator pad (3 sprays to be exact) and wipe the tire with it and let it sit.

I like the initial shine, not too shiney.

I do have 2 BIG complaints with it.

1-Longevity. I can't get it to last more than 2-3 days on my daily driven cars. Maybe it has to be sprayed directly on for the extra time? On my MR2 which is a weekend warrior at best (I live too close to work to drive it every day - less than 2 miles) I get a few weeks, but not if it rains on the car while it sits.

2-Overspray from the bottle. I noticed one day about a month ago when cleaning my GF's car little spots on the paint after I dressed the tires. Nothing a little QD doesn't take care of. Then since that day, I've made it a point to be 3-5 feet away from the paint and spray away from the car and STILL I get these little spots all over the paint.

I'm almost out and i'm not going back.

I've got a 1 gallon of concentrated hyper dressing in the mail, I've used it before and i'm sticking with it.

I have been using PB's Bold N Brite and it's been working fantastic (matte finish). I also have the Megs High Endurance but haven't got around to using it. Got it at Big Lots! for $2.99
