:redface: against my better judgement, i did a wash this afternoon on the xterra. (COLD!) :(

it was time to tap the gallon of megs hyper wash. i have the pump dispenser for this. one pump in the foam gun and one in the bucket. THIS STUFF IS AMAZING! produced plenty of foam in the gun and bucket. cleaning ability and lubricity were all good. i have used them all, and i have to say this is the best i have used so far. a bold statement, but true. this is my new go to wash. :bigups

Meguiars Hyper-Wash
 
Hyper Wash is a great value in car soaps. It can be difficult to rinse completely away (in my experience) which is my number 1 pet peeve when it comes to car soaps. That is why I prefer products like Wet Diamond Rinseless Wash or Ultima, which rinse completely clean.

For a good middle of the road soap that doesn't use silicone, I would look at Poor Boys Super Slick & Suds Shampoo. It is a really good value that straddles the line between performance and value.

Are you saying that car soaps that use silicones that makes it difficult to rinse cleanly?

What about Blackfire?
 
i did not expect much. but i was wrong. i had no issues with rinse or residue. and the bubbles (foam) lasted the whole wash, even on the vehicle, till i was ready to rinse! that was impressive. stacked up against DP XTREEM/HONEYDEW/MAXI SUDS it just came out on top. IMO.

one product i used awhile back that was really different was DODO BTBM. it was also impressive.

No, what I am saying is some soaps use silicones as gloss enhancers or lubricating agents. 9 times out of 10 this is no big deal but some polishes do not react kindly to polishing over silicone residues.

As far as rinse ability, I don't believe there is a correlation between silicone and rinse off. However, I personally find that if I don't rinse Hyper Wash frequently it will leave a soap film on the paint that is difficult to remove/rinse off.

With something like Ultima's car soap, you can wash the whole car then rinse (not recommended) and all of it will rinse away completely.
 
I agree with this soap. In my experience, nothing beats this as the best, cost effective soap to use in a foam gun and I have found nothing yet that compares with it.

I absolutely love it.
 
Im a fan of HW as well. Pump that gooey goodness into my wheel buckets as well to get some brush and foam action. All around a super solid and economical product I wish I had worked it into the rotation sooner.
 
Definitely my go-to wash too. I've had my gallon for over a year and have over 1/2 left (although I really only do my vehicles, but have done about 1/2 a dozen others). I initially thought it was expensive, but looking at it, it's cheaper in the long run. Cleans great, smells great, and when I need it works great in a foam gun. Don't know if it's my horrible city water, but I've found it's the only wash that will stay sudsy throughout the wash. I've tried Shampoo+, but it just doesn't compare. I have noticed if a vehicle is excessively dirty you will have to double the dosage, always does the trick though. I just came back from a 2,000 mile roadtrip in the Frontier, most of it in the rain; needless to say it was filthy. HW did great.
 

I am glad to hear that you all are enjoying HyperWash. It is one of my favorite washes and I have been proclaiming its greatness for awhile.
