Megs cotton towels $1 each...

I have NEVER seen towels lint like these in my life...and they are supposedly pre-washed per the packaging.. The first time I washed them (12 towels, washed separately) I skimmed an entire handful of lint from the water half way through the wash cycle. I washed them again and removed about half as much. Third time through, I removed much less, BUT they pilled terribly and were not even remotely close to as soft when new. My guess is whatever they were treated with to make them feel so plush in the store washed out. They were washed with Charlie's Soap, in cold water and I am on municipal water with a whole house Kinetico water softener.

Whatever you do, DON'T wash these with your regular laundry....you will be sorry.

I just washed them separate and a couple of them had a fair amount of lint. I washed them with Woolite and they are still pretty soft.

Yes, they are labeled "Ultra Plush Super Terry".

if they are the old ones wthat were sold in single packs, then those were decent. the new ones that come rolled up are a little too coarse and i wouldn't let them touch the paint. if one isn't buying at least a dozen or so of these, it's not worth it as they should be washed seperately from microfiber towels, otherwise it's a waste of water...

i had some of these super plush terry towels about a year ago and they was soft when new but quickly got to be stiff and started scratching.

They are actually pretty decent towels. Very soft and silk edges. You have to wash them a couple times but after that, there is very little linting.

Perhaps they changed suppliers, mine are no longer very soft at all despite being washed in as ideal conditions as I can produce.
