Megs Clay vs Clay Magic

I've always used Claymagic and like the fact that it is a fine clay, but has a firm consistancy so it holds it's shape while in use. Tried Griots clay which was way too soft--looses it's shape while in use.

Having trouble finding Claymagic in my area so considering the Megs Clay kit--how is it compared to Claymagic??

It is not as good. Check on-line, Clay Magic is available, I personally haven't found anything as good as the blue grade they sell.

Yeah, I think the Clay Magic Blue might be the preferred item. (I've never tried the red.) I have the Meg's Mild (yellow) and it's good, but I think the Clay Magic is superior. I found I could only order it on-line. Local retail outlets no longer sell it. I think I got it on eBay from someone in FL (??).

the white megs clay is mild compared to the blue clay magic bar. the fact you can buy it OTC at k-mart for $10 for just the clay (100gm) itself is nice without having to buy a whole box of other items you may not use which will raise the price...

Claymagic blue is the gold standard in my book. The mothers stuff isn't bad, especially since you can get the kits for about $10 at AA. Megs is probably my least favorite.

Pep Boys also sells the blue ClayMagic bar for $10 (the kit with lube is $14, IIRC).

Thanks guys!!! I'll give pepboys a try and stick with the ClayMagic--like the idea of buying the bare bars as I use ONR as lube.

Yea, ClayMagic blue is so much better.

I most recently switched to the Nanoskin towel (fine grade), and I'll never use clay again. I would take me and hour or more to clay my truck, and the Nanoskin takes me about 20 minutes. Not to mention it gets stuff off that fine clay couldn't. Might want to give it a shot...it's one of those products you'll not believe you ever did without.

Also available at KMart

Thanks for the heads up about KMart. $10 for 200 gram bar with free shipping to the store.

Edit 4/23/13 Never Mind---they lied--on the Kmart Webpage it shows a picture of a 200 gm bar for $9.49 but since it showed the local store had it in stock I just picked it up at the store. It's a 100 gm bar and it's $10.99 in the store. Only a buck and half difference, but--still better than buying an entire Megs or Mothers kit for

$17-18 when I don't need the lube. Interesting though it is clearly a ClayMagic package of fine blue clay, but at the top it says Simoniz.
