Meg's APC vs. Meg's APC +

Can someone tell me the difference between these two products? I just ran out of my supply of Meg's APC and am wondering if I should get the APC + this time around and if so, where can I purchase it from? I got the Meg's APC from Autogeek, but I don't think they sell the Plus version. I mainly use the cleaner at a dilution ratio of 4:1 for carpets, floormats engines, wheels and wheelwells and 10:1 for interior surfaces. Should I expect better results from the Plus?

I would also like to hear what products you guys use for the above mentioned purposes and your experiences with them as I'm always up for trying differenct product lines. Thanks for sharing.

The only difference is the APC+ version is a low suds type. I use APC+ on everything and it works well. I use a 10:1 although it was pointed out yesterday that it shouldn't be used on leather(ever, any ratio) even though the bottle says it can be.

On leather, I have better luck spraying onto a mf towel first and then wiping down.

I find that when I spray it on the leather, where the product is sprayed and where it runs the leather looks a bit discolored (think bleaching effect), but from what I can see and tell, I don't think it's taking any color out of the leather, otherwise I'd see color runs on my towel. I just think it's the product working too well. Because of that, I find that when you spray directly onto the leather it ends up being more work getting the leather to clean up evenly.

I have experienced the same effect. If I don't spray the cleaner onto the towel first, I will immediately wipe the surface to be cleaned with a damp microfiber rather than let the product dwell for any period of time.

I would definitely like to try the APC+ then. Can someone suggest a vendor that carries it? Thank you.

in your personal experience how did the leather come out? r wain

Well I haven't messed up any seat to date but I don't want to so I stopped using it. Leather seat makers say to use a cleaner with a ph of 5.5 and APC+ has a ph of 12.4 in a 10:1 ratio. On the other hand Megs wheel brightener(which everyone knows is dangerous) has a ph of 5.5 so you can take this info with a grain of salt.
