Hello everyone

I detail cars for a ford dealership in my small town. The dealer deosnt want much. just a shine and a little protection. Today i got a van with the worst swirl s and paint condition ever! I couldnt just give it a quicky and let it go. I was determined to at least make it not so horrible.

Process:

Now its not perfect. But the dealer doesnt want perfect and i wasnt going to kil myself at the price he pays me. It wasnt perfect but it came out a hell of a lot better than it was.

And you used the #66 for just what it is intended for. A Quick Detail.
Looks pretty decent and on most used car lots, it will be great. It also will look good for more than a few days like the filler quickies that are often done.
There is definitely a difference in what the dealers want and are willing to pay for compared to some of us. Somebody has to do it, and it looks like you have a handle on it.

I agree looks much better and probably not much time invested. Did you top #66?

One more quick question did you try the sprayer idea from a couple of weeks ago? If so how'd it work?

I topped the hood and fenders with nxt and didnt really like the look and didnt feel that it added anything so i did the rest with just 66. the pic is of just 66 though. And yes i did the bottle idea from last week. It works awesome. I use probably 1 spray per panel. A couple on the hood. It works great for what i want. I have a gallon of it. i will probably have it forever haha.

Are you employed at the dealership or work on your own? I'm trying to go off on my own but the stealership says I can't work at the dealership do to insurance reasons. I think this is a load of BS because they have a dent guy, window guy, and interior repair guy all do work at the dealership.

I think those pics just sold me on #66. It seems like there's really no reason to top with wax unless it is worth the improvement in looks. For what dealerships pay, they don't deserve much more. Have you ever used it with a rotory?

I run a business, Pinnacle Detailing and get cars from the stealership and do them for 12.50 an hour. I didnt see any really noticable difference in topping it and i dont really feel the need to for the money i make. I have not tried it with rotary. Im 17 and wont probably pick up a rotary for a couple years. After using the 66 i have found that it is best with the most agressive pad you have which for me was a light cutting pad. I would imagine it would be great with a rotary. I use mine with a bottle which is great.

Thanks.. Especially when it is a liquid. That was the socking part for me was to open the bottle and see that is was a liquid with the consistency of water. Thats were the spray bottle idea came into play.
