Sunburst, best value Poxy is here: Polymer Sealant Car Wax & Car Paint Protectant - HD POXY 32 oz | 3D Products

BTW, you don't need to wash after you clay, especially if you're going to polish straight after.

I would never use that much, even if i applied that 3-4 times a year it would take me 3-4 years to go through it, if not longer. IDK what the shelf life is on that, but i cant imagine it being good after that long of a period of sitting...

Good to know about the washing after clay. IP wipedown after clay a good idea though?

I read the link and the ad for it .

No offense , but it sounds like every other ad written about a car product ect. Even though the ad says a year for durability , but best applied more often. Someone here said lasting 3 months and the other replied thats not to bad .....i think thats NOT a good thing. Heck Duragloss products last me through salt riddin , harsh wisconsin winters with weekly car washes and still are beading and shining like heck .

3 months isnt that bad, like i had said before though, my concern lies over the winter months, as i live in the suburbs of chicago, and they DUMP salt down here.

My #20 that i put on last fall still seems to be holding up decently, but now that ive tried the #20 i want to see what else is out there that will look better on the car.

Now, if i do have to re-apply after three months, will i just be able to do a quick dawn wash, and then re-apply? Shouldnt be a problem?

Why would you do a dawn wash? Just reapply whatever you are using after a regular wash.

Exactly. Don't over-think it.

Good deal.

On a side note.. I got a new light today.. Well, actually made a new light today, and its pretty good fo finding swirls.

Well, when i got my car back from the body shop, i noticed a LOT of swirls in the newly panted parts(entire drivers side).

One thing i failed to look at was the rest of the car.

I dont know WHO washed my car, but they put swirls ALL OVER the car.

Im so not a happy camper right now.

I did a bit of a test spot this evening, and the newly panted areas seem to be easy to remove the swirls from. The oem panted panels seem like their going to be a bit trickier.

I just cant wait till the weather gets better here so i can get everything taken care of :/

I'd go with 2 coats of Collinite 845 or 476 for midwest winters and POXY for the other 7 months of the year.

I did top my 845x2 back in Jan after a ONR wash with POXY I got for Xmas because I wanted to see how it looked.

I really like the look of POXY. Applied it very thin and let it haze up. Wiped off effortlessly.

I barely used any product at all. The 9 ounce bottle should last me a long time.

Nice tight beading also from the snow and rain.

I see no reason to not apply it every 3 months just because its so easy to use and how great it looks.

HD Free is my follow up on cars that are not dirty enough to break out ONR. It works great on glass also.
