after all the reading..i gotta feeling i know which one is going to come out on top but thought id ask.

which one would pick and why?

Having used Collinite for the last 20 years, and loved it's beading and shine, it's hard to vote for anything else.

Just recently clayed, polished and waxed my black finish with the new NXT 2.0 and when I looked at it tonight I just went WOW!

The real test is will it look this good after several washes because I know the collinite will.

Personally I love the new NXT! REALLY easy to use, and while I know some will say differently, I get fantastic durability and protection with it. Clear winner in my book!

On the other hand, I really like #476. Another great wax. All in all, it really is a question of what you are looking to get out of a wax.

Seems that Meguiar's really got it right with NXT V2.0. Stunning looks and it does last. I'm going on 4 months and the looks and slickness are still really good. Don't make the mistake of assuming this is the same as the original NXT.

It has some filling capability (vs little to none) but don't expect a whole lot. I tested, and Megs #26 fills a lot better by itself (w/o sealant underneath).

I was able to hide my swirls completely w/ #7 and #26, but only partially hide it with #7 and NXT 2.0.

Also note: Topping NXT 2.0 w/ #26 afterwards did not hide the swirls (because it has a layer of sealant/NXT2 underneath that prevents the #26 from filling).

Course, after I got my Flex, the swirls have been polished out now ;)

So NXT 2.0 does have fillers? How much (like does it just have a little filling ability or a lot?

they are two different creatures

Colinite for long lasting protection

NXT 2.0 for filling and "looks"

Not sure about the 'filling' properties of NXT but the rest I agree with.:2thumbs:

I like 845 for its durability and the fact that it looks good on silver. I normally use it as a sealant then top with a "nuba (Liquid Souveran), until I read about a mix of the two (75% 845-25%Liquid Souveran)

ill be using it on a silver car.

Both are very good products but they are different. Why not enjoy NXT.2 in the summer and use 845 for your winter wax. Neither product is expensive.
