Personally, I think the best way to dry with any towel is to "pat" it mostly dry, and then wipe very, very, very lightly, using a mix of Spray & Wipe and a good QD lightly misted on the paint surface.
I think you will find the Meguiar's towel to be "decent", but not as soft and plush as some of the better WW towels. Especially after a couple washings.
