meg#16 vs collinite 845 or p21s

okay guys , last year i used klasse aio /sg then topped with p21s ...the p21s didnt seem to stay around too long

ive just tried collinite 845 and i kinda like it....but im alos thinking of trying meg#16

looking for feedback , seems alot of folk like it. how will it compare to iw 845 or p21s

my cars are black and meduim grey..and live outside alot...they see alot of rain

Can you still get #16 where you are? It's no longer being sold her in the US, although it's available in the "gray" market (ebay/trade), and there are stories about some being found still on shelves.

I like the look of 845 better than #16

I didnt care for #16 very much but then again my cars are black and blue

Your talking about my two favorite LSPs here.

I love the look of #16 on silver, and it may look the same on gray. It gives a deep shine with a warm glow.

845 gives more of a reflective shine, a look more people may perfer. Both products bead well and last a long time, something that can't be said about P21s.

The one thing I like about #16 is the reflections that you see on your hood when driving. Nothing gives as sharpe and clear hood reflections from the drivers seat as #16.

Just used #16 today. It was a toss up between that and 845 but since the SUV sits outside 24/7, I went with #16 because until the first wash, 845 is a dust magnet. I like how both look even though they are somewhat different. #16 has a wetter glow while 845 has decent wetness and sharp reftections. I've never run either until water no longer beads but you should get an easy 3-4 months from either even in wet climates.

#16 is at least worth trying. It's been my LSP for my wife's silver A8 for quite a while (and I have Collinite's 845 and 476S on hand).

I haven't used IW yet, but I do have a tin of #16 lying around. I used #16 on my mom's VW back in mid november, 2ish months and still beading like crazy. I really like #16 for its ability to clean itself in the rain. dirt just seems to drip right off the paint when #16 is being used.

I agree #16 is a very durable wax. I have some areas that i left the wax unbuffed.

But the shine and the look is great on my white car. It looks better than 2x AJ

My car currently has 1x aj and 1x #16.

#16 makes a nice topper but isnt as nice by itself compared to #845IW imo.

It's still a good wax and worth trying, but it's not going to make you toss out your #845IW either.

Well, I guess this is where personal preference enters into it ;) It doesn't make me toss my 845, but it does make me leave it on the shelf most of the time. Good thing we all have our druthers or a lot of wax companies would be out of business (and Autopia would be a boring place).

FWIW, my vote goes to P21.

I use S100, which is the same thing (puts on flame suit ...), and I love the look and ease of use. If you are looking for more durability, I would suggest using something like #21 before finishing w/ S100.

#16 is supposed to be good, but I would not invest in using something that has been discontinued, because the supply will eventually run out ... and then you will be back to square one.

P21 was the top carnauba in the Guru Report on wax, I don't see the point in moving to #16.

But do whatever make you happy. :)

Peace.
