Me and my filthy rear window

Happy days, everyone. I was cleaning my rear window (from the inside) with those Armor All GLass wipes and now the whole thing is smeared. There was a lot of dirt on it, so I guess that's why it's all icky looking.

However, I don't wanna clean the thing too much as I don't want to damage the defogger lines. Plus, I'm not looking to go and buy some $$ gadget at Pep Boys. Does anyone know of a cheapie concoction that I can wipe on the rear window to clean away all the dirt? Plus, what's the best way to clean over the defogger lines?

Thanks, guys!!:up

Armor All glass wipes aren't very good for really dirty windows. They'll suffice for a quick touch up, but not much more. Get some Stoners Invisible Glass or some Eagle One 20/20 and a few soft cloths. The glass cleaners won't hurt the defroster. Only something abrasive will. Just make sure to keep turning (flipping and folding) the cloths so you don't smear around the dirt and you'll have a nice, clean rear window.

I would suggest trying one of the new Glass waffle weave towels from Pakshak and the new NXT glass cleaner.

Its an awesome combo...:xyxthumbs

Another thought, I have always thought it a good idea to wipe in the direction the rear defroster runs, not across them any more than necessary........

You can always try washing the back window with nothing more than a wet MF and a dry MF. You won't have to worry about any streaks.

I also prefer to wipe parallel to the defroster lines.
