Marks on hood after using 7424

I purchased a PC last year and used it to detail my car and my wifes car with pretty good results for a first timer.

Today, being 75 and p.sunny I decided to touch up the hood of my car after washing. The wax when apllied and removed left a haze. After trying sucessfully to get the haze off I noticed a series of small pimple like marks on the paint of the hood.

What did I do wrong??? Can these marks be repaired? How do I avoid doing this again.

Most likely.

By not claying before using the 7424, you more than likely just polished the cantaminants, or bumps, to the paint.

You can still remove them, but you will need to polish alll over again.

What do you mean pimple-like marks? Is the wax residue stuck in them? Pictures would help. I vote for stone chips with wax in them.

They are marks on the paint that are bumps rather than indentations. Similar to a pimple.
