I was out in the garage most of the day gettin the SS ready for a show tomarrow but I lost interest early in the afternoon, the Thermometer in the garage says 89 but I looked on the Computer and it says 93! ugg to hot! Looks like I am going to have to look for a Cheap window AC for the garage window;)
 
Just inside the garage myself and it's a 105, even with the ceiling fan going. I want to wash and apply Z5 but I think I will leave sweat spots. :p
 
I was gonna get an AC but my garage has vinyl replacement style windows. The wife says no because she's afraid a window unit will break the windows up or something. :mad:



yea I know exactly what you mean about the heat - but here its not the heat that kills, its the humidity!! ugg!! we had a garage sale this morning and sold a couple old lawn-boy walkbehind mowers and a radial arm saw from my parents' house.
 
Hey Shiny why not open up a spot in the wall for the AC. Unless you have brick outside then it would be more difficult.



I was thinking the same thing but it would be easier as I have vinyl siding on the garage.

Ya know I hate to brag but, they did come back over 2 days later and do the same thing, I wasnt going to say anything but you brought it up;)
 
One day last summer, I was getting ready to detail the wife's Jeep. I washed it the night before, so it would be ready in the morning. I ended up getting called into work to cover for a hazmat incident at 8:30, and didn't get back until after noon. It was hotter than hell in the garage...the outside thermometer said 94...the thermometer in the Jeep said it was 106! Damn that's hot!

Zaino washed my truck

Z5'd my truck

Z6'd my truck again

Dressed my tires w/Finish 2001 tire gunk from Big Lots

303'd all the exterior trim



Sure it was hot, but it makes me feel like a real man to get out there and sweat once in a while. All week I work in an air conditioned laboratory.



The thermometer said 90, but it was hotter in the garage!

I washed the car with Dawn... then 3M SMR... then washed it with dawn again... then Z6... then finally got a coat of Z3 ZFX only to have it start raining on the parts of my car not protected under some tarps. :(

Since this was my first time using the PC and 3M SMR I was taking my time early on... then got faster. Then the zaino went on in record time only to get rained on... sure hope that won't cause too many problems when I buff it off. :doh



BTW it was very hot out there... but I did it anyway. I just hope I don't have to do it all over again heh.

Hey Redcar GUY and Dave N...



When I have to "go to work", the temperatures are 300 degrees at floor level, 1200+ at the ceiling and I am wearing 65 pounds of protective clothing...leather helmet, turnout coat, bunker pants, boots, gloves and wearing a Scott Air Pac and dragging around a big hoseline!



Come to think of it, detailing a vehicle is a hell of a lot cooler!
 
Gonzo, OK, I had to sit there and read that for aobout 2-3 minutes before I finally figured out that you are a firefighter! I thought that maybe you were cleaning ovens from the inside or something.



I'm sure this has been discussed before, but do you detail the firetruck with "Autopian quality" products?

LOL, and I thought he was making steel or something.



Detailing is just like golf, It is never too hot to play.
 
<< did no detailing because it was almost 100 here in Chicago. But when I went to IN, the Maxima's thermometer said 101.:eek:
 
Land Cruiser said 101 today. Volvo said 62, I don't think it was working right. :p BTW not only is it hovering near 100 here, but its also hovering at about 100% humidity. I still detailed today though.
