So the other day it just stopped working, I've taken it apart and everything seems fine. Im not an electrician but the brushes look good and are not below the wear line. Anyone ever run into this problem before?

The only place this machine will wear out is the power cord where it goes into the machine.
Sometimes the cord gets flexed too hard there, you do not want to ever wrap the cord tightly, just coil it up loosely..
You will have to take it apart, with the cord still in half the machine, plug it in, set the speed to lowest, pull the trigger (machine is laying on its side on your work surface), and wiggle the cord at the bottom where it goes into the handle and see if starts/stops...
It will wear out one of the 3 wires sometimes and that will stop it. You can buy a replacement at Home Depot or order directly from Makita...
