Making my first detailing order...cant wait

Well I am making my first real detailing order this week. I have been lurking around here for a little while and got some great info so thanks. As of right now I dont plan on doing anything special just taking care on my car my wifes and maybe a few folks in the family.



I had a buddy fix up my car not too long ago and was looking for someone in my area to go to. However I thought why not give it a shot save some money learn a new skill and have fun while doing it...



As for products I am ordering everything from a guy I know on another forum. Here is the list of those items along with the list I am kinda showing my process of what I am doing to the cars...

Some great stuff there and some stuff I've never heard of. Let us know how it all works out. Good call on the rolling chair by the way!
 
^I watched my buddy fixing up my car and told him he is going to kill his back bending over so much or kill his knees kneeling down...I already have a bad back I need all the help I can get LOL...
 
Very very nice first order. Btw what size pads. I haven't used wool pad with the pc. Don't know if I would want to.



Besides that looks good. I really want to try that wet obsession wax.
 
Well the PC package comes with 5" backing and the pads are 5.5"...The purple wool pads are 6.5"



I am still reading on if I need 4" pads or not...











As for Wet Obsession the results I have seen are insane! Tons of the members on my other site use it and Love it...
 
I think I am taking off the bug blast, black wow, and only going to buy 1 purple wool just to see how I like it. I am also going to buy a pack of 10 MF towels from some place called eurow or something...buddy told me everyone from here has them and loves them...
 
I would drop the wet obsession, move some money around, and go for the supernatural..200ml will last a WHILE!!
 
^Thanks but the Wet Obsession is $45 compared to the $200. Maybe waaaaaaay down the road I might try some of that stuff but really I cant see it happing unless some dood with a million dollar car says hey I want that stuff cause it costs a lot which means it must be good lol...

I sold a bunch of stereo equipment that I took out of my truck when I traded it in. To me it was free money cause the equipment was just sitting there doing nothing.
 
i'd hit up home depot for spray bottles instead of walmart. they have 32oz bottles vs 22oz. and the HD ones have a dilution ratio on the side with writeable label
 
The bottles I saw at walmart in canada had the ratio and they had 16oz for $1.98 and 20something oz bottles for $2.37. I am hitting up Walmart and Meijers (sp?) here in MI tonight to see what they have...The dollar store had 20something oz bottles with the ratio as well for $1.25...
 
I got a 6 pack from sams club for 5.88 of 32oz bottles...sams also has good mf towels as well....

My local HD has 3 different sprayers. The HD brand, Zep, and some chemical resistant gray ones. I keep the strong stuff in the gray ones, and use mostly the HD ones for everything else. The 32oz HD brand are $0.99.



Also, I hit up the local beauty supply place for small sprayers, small yorker bottles, and similar. Those little sprayers are terrific of clay lube, small water sprayers, etc. Anything where you're not going to need a TON of somethimg for a job. Stuff like glass cleaner or bug dissolver.



Just came from Office Depot. They have a special on plastic crates. Buy 2 get one free. These are the big crates that are retangular, not square. I put ALL my external supplies in one, and will put all the interior stuff in another. Third crate may become a trash/low seat/utility crate. Great deal.

My thing is I like to shop and get most of my stuff at one place rather then driving around the globe for 1 item here 2 items there and 1 item here lol...



As it is right now Walmart is across the street from the dollar store which is kitty corner from canadian tire lol...all in canada



I plan on check out walmart and meijer here in MI though cause they are on the way home from work. The only thing I am missing is the US equivalant of canadian tire???
