It's been raining for a week here in the NE, with another 3 or 4 days to go before we'll see the sun! God, I don't think I can take much more of this driving around in a dirty car! :grrr

Sorry, just had to vent.

Tell me about it. Well, in NYC we haven't gotten any rain for almost entire of Aug and Sept. A small punishment for us now :angry

Glad I am not the only one!!! The weather people are saying "maybe" Sunday will have better weather........9 days between washings.....

in the mean time I'll be organizing my supplies waiting for Sunday!

I'm with you guys in the Northeast. On Friday I had some work done on my 350Z and got stuck having to drive it in the rain. Needless to say I couldn't cover it when I got home. All day Saturday I was like a sick puppy at the window looking out at it while it rained on the Z.

Saturday morning I was finally able to go out and wash it while the rained stopped for bit so that I could cover it up. One neighbor actually came over laughing wondering what I was doing.

The weather held off a bit on Monday afternoon for me to do a quick detail and vacuum on it ....

I am looking skyward as well for the sun... :(

I use to hate the rain. Now it really doesn't matter. White + Zaino = relatively clean and shiny car not matter what's the weather. Very little (dirt and grime) sticks to it.

Gotta love it!!! :woot:

It has been raining here since last Thursday and we need the water. Grass was getting pretty brown looking.

I'm complaining because it's been too sunny for the last um.... 2 months. It's been 80+ for the last two weeks. Oh yeah... i forgot, this is the NORM over here in Souther California. :)

Hehehe... My freshly Zaino'd WRX is sitting nice and dry in the garage while I drive an old beater truck. :spot It's been raining here as well for the past week and more to come.

If rain cost you money like it does me, it wouldn't matter what you use on your car. ;)

Since Thursday of last week, we have had rain on and off in the forecast-enough that about half my customers cancelled. It might as well rain if I am going to lose the business anyway. :bawling:

This rain stinks!! :angry I haven't washed my car in two weeks. Luckily, with the thick coat of wax on it the rain seems to just wash the dirt off. Once I go for a drive all the water just slides right off too!! But as soon as I park the car it just gets more rain and leaves :angry on it.

I don't miind a couple days of straight rain here and there, but this is getting a bit much. Hopefully, the weekend will bring out the sun again.

Rain for a few means rest to have fun round the house Detailing it up. I have a large simi-truck garage which to detail in but people think other wise not to get there cars done when it rains.

Other thing I'm more busier Detailing cars in the winter then in the summer?

yeah this rain is sucking ***.......my wax is on its last leg an i just want to detail the STI :(. really sucks for you guys losing money because of it though.

I washed my car in the garage the other day......just couldnt take it anymore....lol,

Still havent been able to try out my newly added OCW :(

I had three details scheduled this week... all cancelled due to the rain. For me, it's crunch time, as I shut down my detailing venture when the snow starts. :furious:

Why does everyone wait until the end of the detailing season to get their cars done? :hairpull

Yes Scott, it stinks that business falls off when the rain continues day-after-day.

Look at the bright side. More business when the weather clears and all your customers need details. :nixweiss

Enjoy the time off. You may not get any for the next few weeks trying to get everyone's vehicle back in shape. :wavey

We've had 1.5 days of drizzle so far, and 2 to go. That's enough for me. I like rain, but not when it comes down at 0.01" per hour and continues for 3 days straight.

I'm probably going to wash the car tonight just because. I saw a lot of water spots on the car this morning and I don't want to look at them again tomorrow morning. :)
