Make It Shine - Deswirled Black IS300

Hey everyone. I've been MIA for a while keeping busy with school and business but I had some time to post this Lexus IS300 I did a couple of weeks ago. I'll put a general overview of what the process was along with pics. Sorry for the intruding watermark. Haven't had time to come up with something creative so I just put them through the Automator on my Mac for the time being.

Please pardon the linting that you will see in some of the pics.

RIDS remain.

Overall process for the car was:

- ONR wash

- Clay with Riccardo + ONR diluted to clay lube

- Debadged the trunk

- Wetsanded the areas where the badges were with 1500 grit.

- SIP on rotary + Orange LC and Yellow Sonus pads @ 1600rpm and 1800rpm in some spots. Made about 2-3 passes

- Poli-seal via PC on LC CCS White including windows.

- Victoria's Red

Top correction there :xyxthumbs

The car was really £$%%£"" : )

Which one is this Acura there??

Most people don't deserve to own a black vehicle, that paint was in horrible condition.

Excellent work on your part, the turn around is amazing.

What in the world did that owner wash the car with??? Looks a lot like steel wool to me.

Great job on the correction, IS300's are awesome looking cars, especially when clean. :xyxthumbs

Thanks! That is an Acura RSX Type S vased on the VIN #. Looks to have been an older model, converted to the newer one. It had been repainted as you could see paint ontop of the trims and what not.

I agree with you. I didn't think the paint would be that bad. Thanks for the comment!

The owner said he got to a point where he knew he needed a deep polishing, so he started washing it with those brushes they have at the coin op. I cringed when I heard that, lol

Good work, Kaval. That was pretty badly swirled up.

Thanks Tyler! Let me borrow your Flex! :P

Thanks to all for your compliments. I'm going to try and set up an appointment with the client to apply Swissvax Concorso soon.
