I have finally settled on my mode of attack for my truck once its out of the body shop (getting new paint on bumper and tailgate after I was rear-ended). So for reference, this will be my regiment (not applied to the areas that are newly painted)
wash
clay
re-wash
FPII for some light swirls and marring from using crappy towels
AIO
SGx2
P21S
I'm looking to really make my 2005 Speedway Blue Tacoma really shine, and keep it looking that way. I have no problem rewaxing every few weeks, but I'm just not sure what I should do. Can I just apply a new coat of P21S every few weeks when I feel its necessary, or do I need to remove the previous coat somehow? Also, would it be overboard to reapply AIO and SG every 3 months or so just to keep everything looking it tip-top shape? Or do the products last long enough that it would simply be wasted effort? The truck will garage kept most of the time, but daily driven (and I put on a lot of miles) and washed 1-2 times weekly.
Also, I know that I shouldn't use any sealants for the first 1-3 months on new paint (time frame seems to be vary greatly depending on who you ask), but how can I protect the paint in the mean time while I allow the freshly painted body panels to cure? I was told I can use a glaze, any good recommendations?
Thanks for any and all insight provided to this n00b.
