Maintenance?

I have finally settled on my mode of attack for my truck once its out of the body shop (getting new paint on bumper and tailgate after I was rear-ended). So for reference, this will be my regiment (not applied to the areas that are newly painted)

wash

clay

re-wash

FPII for some light swirls and marring from using crappy towels

AIO

SGx2

P21S

I'm looking to really make my 2005 Speedway Blue Tacoma really shine, and keep it looking that way. I have no problem rewaxing every few weeks, but I'm just not sure what I should do. Can I just apply a new coat of P21S every few weeks when I feel its necessary, or do I need to remove the previous coat somehow? Also, would it be overboard to reapply AIO and SG every 3 months or so just to keep everything looking it tip-top shape? Or do the products last long enough that it would simply be wasted effort? The truck will garage kept most of the time, but daily driven (and I put on a lot of miles) and washed 1-2 times weekly.

Also, I know that I shouldn't use any sealants for the first 1-3 months on new paint (time frame seems to be vary greatly depending on who you ask), but how can I protect the paint in the mean time while I allow the freshly painted body panels to cure? I was told I can use a glaze, any good recommendations?

Thanks for any and all insight provided to this n00b.

kpagel- My hands-down choice for fresh paint is Meg's #5. Well worth ordering, it's that much better than the other usualy recommendations.

What I did (back when I was topping my KSG), was get 4-6 layers of KSG on first. You can just add a layer after each wash until you get it built up like that. Then apply the wax. When the wax needs refreshed, do a *VERY* gentle claying with something like the new Sonus "green" clay, and just reapply the wax. You don't need to clean off the "old" wax and the clay will merely clean off any contamination (it won't take off any old wax, let alone any KSG). You can get by for a *long* time without having to redo the AIO/KSG if you wash whenever it needs it. Seems like leaving dirt on the vehicle is more detrimental to KSG than frequent washing. FWIW, I find that Griot's Car Wash has virtually *no* effect on KSG, it doesn't strip it when you wash.
