What can or should be done to an Opti-coated finish? I know that it is a perminant coating and should protect from the elements indefinately, but what about appearence or feel? Does it keep that just waxed feeling we all love so much? Do minor swirls eventually build up?
From reading, any other LSP applied over it will have a reduced life span due to it's inability to bond with the paint surface. can something like BFWD or a Nuba based wax still be applied if for nothing more than the look/feel? Is a spray or quick wax type product the answer here? Is it really as simple and wash, clay, drive?
Ok, lots of questions, I know. My mind tends to wander a bit.ancing Dot:
OK, so saying I were to clean with Poli-seal maybe 4 times a year and freshen the finish with Final polish amybe once a year. How long would I be able to go before I finally wear through the coating and have to cut down the finish to re-apply?
Clean with Poliseal as needed. Finish polish when swirled. Toppers aren't necessary, but wil stick with a reduced life so use if you like, but the top layer is what attributes you will see. I personally like the repellency and hydrophobic properties of OC so I don't top it.
Chris, did you get my message? I need to get some OC quick.
I haven't seen a message, jeff. My email is [email protected]
OK, Cool, I just didn't want to hear something like 2 years and it would be done.
Just for the record, I'm not trying to be difficult. I'm just trying to understand the product before I make the decision to go with it. Thanks Guys![]()
