What year of Mustang, has the vehicle been refinished?
Normally, when polishing any decal's, it is important that the operator of the buffer does not "create heat" on the decals.
That they "back off" and lightly polish those areas with the power tool and do follow-up by hand polishing to create a match of the surrounding area of the painted surface.
