Machine Newb

I am in the process of decided on which machine to get, the PC, UDM, or the Flex. I know that threads pertaining to these machines have been beat to death, but I am unsure which machine would best suit my skill level. I have never used a machine polisher before but I am familiar with different waxes and polishes. I plan on doing a lot more reading on the process of machine polishing before I attempt to do some paint correction. My only fear is buff trails and holograms. I know the PC and UDM are practically the same machine, but is the Flex more hard to use?

I bought a UDM back in October. It did a fine job but I wish I knew then what I know now. If I had, I would have spent an extra $100 and bought a Flex.

Is a Flex more hard to use? Not from what owners are saying. If you are nervous about damaging your paint using a Flex, the first time you use it, don't use the highest setting. Go down one or two. It will take you longer to polish the car but consider this a learning step. Once you get that first car under your belt, I am sure you will feel confident enough to use the Flex at its full potential in the future.

A def +1 on what bert said as i have found it to be the best machine for my needs.Spend the extra money on the flex and you will not be sorry when you try and sell the pc/udm.
