M205 as a one step

I have used M205 with the LC Cyan, and it worked great. The Cyan pad finishes down nicely (that is why I like the Hydrotech Pads). I wouldn't use the PFW, if you plan on this being a one step correction. The PFW will leave some marring, that would have to be refined.
Use the Cyan, and you will be very happy with the results.

+1 with Barry --

Have used the L/C Cyan (Blue) Pad many times with Meguiars 205, and it turned out way better than the expectations I set with the Client on the vehicle.

Am currently using this combination on a 1991 Chrysler/Maserati built Jet Black Town Car, with 14k of hard miles. Totally swirled, scratched, cats lived on the hood, etc., and it is correcting out beautifully with this medium soft to hard paintwork. You couldnt tell until I corrected it, but the color is actually a very deep purple underneath all the garbage that was on the paint.

I have also used the L/C Purple Foamed Wool and the Meguiars 105/205 products, and remarkably, these foam wools finish down really, really nicely, with great gloss and clarity.

Depending on the color, and what you are doing/promised/etc., with your Client, it might also be good enough for their needs....

But the 205 product will always bring the greatest clarity using the products discussed above..

Have also used Meguiars D151 successfully on many vehicles where the
Client just wanted a quick clean up/gloss, and didnt care about extreme paint correction, and the color was light enough that it was not going to show much scratches, etc., anyway. This product will cut quickly, down just so far and stop, so your pad selection will make a difference too, along with all the other variables involved.. And since it leave a little protection on top, that is also a bonus for a 1-step..

Good Luck with your project !

Thanks for the rapid responses! I was going to test a spot but I wasn't sure if the 205 and a PFW pad would have created a disaster, I'm just overly cautious, that's why my kids never go outside. Kidding.

Are you planning on using a rotary or a DA with the PFW pad? Also are you using a DA or rotary for your 1 step in general?

Sorry for the late reply, I used a DA with a Cyan pad. I warned him about the clearcoat condition as you can see in the fender shot but he wanted the haze gone (auction car). I used light pressure in most spots, I took a few quick pics, here's the results;
