Hey fellas,

I have been contemplating posting this for awhile, finally getting around to it now. This was my first experience with BWM paint, and it was a pain but it ended up turning out pretty nice. My goal here was a 1-step paint correction, and in the end i had corrected about 80-85% The correction photos i took were pretty horrible, so I'm only posting the one that turned out half-way decent.

Wheels/Tires/Wheel Wells: P21S TAW on tires and wells, P21S wheel gel and CG grime reaper on wheels.

Foamed with CG CWG (1oz wash: 3oz water)

Two bucket wash with CG CWG, shmitt

Clay with DI claybar, CG QD for lube

Second wash with CG CWG to remove clay residue or any leftover dirt

IPA wipedown

PC7424XP: LC Orange/Green, Menz Power Finish

Final rinse

P21S paint cleanser (because stupid hard water left spots on the paint :angry

BFWD: LC Blue pad

Dressed wells with CG bare bones, tires with CG VRT

I had a lot of trouble de-tarring these wheels, it seemed like nothing was working to remove the tar. I tried many sprays of P21S, letting it dwell, and brushing it off but some tar just didn't seem to dislodge. I tried CG grime reaper too but it didn't really do much, perhaps i need a stronger dilution of it... I keep hearing about Optimum power clean, maybe i'll try that next. Anyhow, enjoy the pics!

Thanks for looking!

No comments from anyone, Ill step in and say great job on this. It looks to be jet black?

You should look into tarminator or some local tar removers - wd40 is paint safe and kills tar on wheels as a last resort.

How did BFWD go on after the p21s cleanser?

I wouldn't doubt it was a pain, cuz your using a PC for paint corrections... I used to do it, than I invested in a rotary and played around a lot with it and I feel it saves a lot of time!! Turned out great though!!

Thanks! Yes it is jet black, and I am about to order some tarminator and pick up a plastic razor. BFWD seemed to go on fine after p21s cleanser, but i'm thinking of grabbing some virtua bond when this bottle is out. I only chose to use the p21s because when i rinsed off after polishing water spots were on the paint :angry

Thanks, I'm very interested in getting a Makita 9227 this summer to speed things up a bit and get a better finish.
