does a nuba makes any differences even after you have applied sealant such as UPGP?

IME applying a carnauba over a good quality sealant is a waste of time looks wise and probably hurts the sealant's durability. If you want to see if a sealant can be improved try some Z8.

Yep, jeweling is to be done with the softest, highest ppi, functionally nonabrasive pads.

Does the type of machine used for jeweling makes any difference?

I.e. rotary or DA

Out of my stash: UPGP, Clearkote CMW, Meg's 26, collinite 476s & 845, KAIO+KSG, FK 1000P, dodo juice white diamond, NXT2.0, colorx, D151, FK2180...

I'd say as a purely standalone (on red metallic), it'd be UPGP applied 3+ times. assuming good prep. For no prep or beat to crap finishes (testing on my beater cadillac), KAIO+KSG are the best of my bunch. D151 is almost up there with KAIO+KSG if you only have time for 1 coat and a machine.

But after having used CG EZcremeII, I don't think I'll ever apply any LSP without a glaze. The wow factor is 100x more noticeable between glaze+lsp vs differences between lsp's withOUT a glaze. Blackfire's glaze is awesome too, but has cleaners.

Good points. EZ Creme with 3X Ultima is off the charts. I love EZ Creme, Blackfires polish is great to that doesn't get alot of press.

My favorite (new) is Blackfire Wet Diamond. Very slick, very glossy. If it lasts half as long as people are saying the new polycharged formula does, I'll be stoked.

Crappy picture, but there was a snow storm and it's -10 outside, so it's the best you'll get :LOLOL

BFWD and Gloss-it Concourso are pretty similar looks wise. They both have that bright, "see everything in the reflection" look. Both of these cars have Concourso on them.

Usually rotary, but high speed short throw DAs (over 10-12.000 OPM) can finish beatifully too.

Well, it would mean that using DA will be using much more time to get the same result as compared to rotary?

Bence said:
Not necessarily. They not much slower than rotaries for finessing.

May be i should understand more on what is jewelling and the purpose of jewel.

With that, i guess i could figure out the differences between the two machines :)

Jeweling/finessing is the ultimate last polishing step. Using extremely fine abrasive finishing polishes and functionally nonabrasive pads you can create the absolute in final shine.
