LSP Suggestions - Please

When I think waxed look I tend to gravitate towards solid colors as they have a tendency to mute the flake a bit. A color such as this is just screaming that plastic look of Zaino. :chairdance

I dunno....to me the plasticy-sealant look would be out of place on a 'vette of that vintage. If a guy like Yours Truly were judging it, it wouldn't be "period correct" if it came down to a fractional-point tie-breaker.

My pal's Jag MKII (only vehicle I do for others) is that kind of metallic blue, and I refuse to make its paint look "like a new Lexus".

Just food for thought....Not like I know from how they judge the shows *that* car will be in.

...[using a sealant would be]...No more anachronistic than the clearcoat already on the car. That being said, I agree, a wax would be my preference.

Yeah, I gave my pal an earful for using that on his MKII! Wrong wrong wrong but, sigh....I'm a lone voice in the wilderness :(

I really *really* *REALLY* dislike the sealant look on older cars though, just me being me to an insufferable degree. Heh heh, I even thought P21s looked "so much too wrong" on my Jag that I stripped it off! Not enough depth/jetting/etc. and this is on metallic light gray (the P21s made it look "more silver, less gray" and just wrong in my eyes).

I have been thinking about this a little more. If you have it WG DGLS would be a slightly better option if you have any. It had and even more Nuba glow than BFCS.

Then in if he really want to wax I would say either PB natty blue or BFMS.

Got the wg. Havent used it yet. So that could be an option.

Thoughts on fuzion topper ?

I like Fuzion. It was super easy to use and looked good. But BFMS was slightly easier to use and gave that look. Because Fuzion is a hybrid it gives a little bit of a glossy sealant look vs the glow.

When end I first got Fuzion I thought it would be the one wax I held onto forever. But when I finally got to use BFMS I had a tough time between the 2. In the end BFMS won out.

Don't make a decision until you check what they're using in Europe on old 'Vettes. The European forums are much better at picking an LSP for a specific color/year/car than us.

I'd prolly use Blue Velvet Pro.

got i[Collinite 915] sitting here, but am looking for something to let me be more ginger on the paint

You *really think* that you'll see a diff?

I only ask because (old story you've probably heard before..) I've had "experts" (scare-quotes intentional IMO) look at 476S and say "that's Dodo Juice [whichever DJ variant they thought it was], nothing else looks quite like that!".
