I just got a request to do 3-6 semi's over my Christmas break from college. I have done work for this customer before and used # 66 via rotory.
This would be the first time anything protection was applied since last year. They are frequently washed, but with MN winter the salt sits until friday night wash.
I would like to provide a little more protection than #66. It does a good job at cleaning up the paint and is economical.
Any recommendations for a good protection product without big $$ tag? Longivity is priority over looks in this case.

Meguiar's #21 will give you good duriblty and longivity but the cleaners in it aren't very strong . Depending on the condition of the paint I think #66 is your best one step product.

The paint tends to get some pretty heavy swirling due to wash by brush and bucket method. I know that the 2 bucket method isn't used by any means when washing.
Most of these trucks also have atleast 1 portion that is a single stage paint. When trucks are in accidents they are often fixed with single stage piant. So it looks like i may stick with # 66.
