haven't posted in awhile, here's the last few cars I've done

2005 LS430 Ultra Luxury I detailed last december in for a spring time maintenance detail...wash/wax/vac

Vacuum and gave her some leather conditioner too

Beauty shots after 2 coats of C845:

Last time I did a one step job just bring some gloss back (no budget for full correction), client has done a great job minimizing swirls since then

03 Passat Wagon belongs to a good friend of mine.

There's tons of heavy swirls and scratches but it's still a good looking car. Previous owners also used the wheels as curb testers.

Goal: Decon/Wax/Interior

sonax FE working on the only good wheel on the car...other 3 are curbed to hell so I took a picture of this one.

Good shade over here

Paint was very rough before I washed it, I knew there would be a fair bit of contamination. After Iron-x I tried out my nanoskin fine grade mitt...I love it. worked great.

8GDQ0C4l.jpg

Lights:

Driver side headlight was perfectly clear, the passenger side my friend said he has polished several times only to have the haze return, I explained that I would fix it and apply a proper sealant so it will last.

The headlight looked worse before the wash, scrubbing with the nanoskin mitt cleared it up a fair bit, so I didn't sand. Compound/polish.

l5QvTo6l.jpg

Taillights were heavily swirled...after a few passes with compound and polished they cleared up a lil bit.

All lights prepped and sealed with Body Wrap.

Took quite awhile to get this road paint off:

Main reason for the detail was to try and fix the back seats...I tried leatherique but was unsuccessful. Looks like a cheap dye job, upon closer inspection I could see overspray on the bottom of the seat cushion.

So I just tried to clean everything else the best I could. I really struggled with stains/scuffs on door panel plastics and headliners for some reason, But we'll focus on what I could do:

vx5000 vs. dirt and grime on the cargo shade.

Moving down again:

Rear seat fold-down release handles cleaned up

Most of the leather didn't require heavy scrubbing but some parts did

SwdfjqLl.jpg

Front seats go completely horizontal, I liked that.

Used C845 on this one too, and dressed trim. The rocker panel trim did not want to dress up nice, but it turned out decent:

Now the headlights match

Car belongs to the eldest son of my recent sister in law. Apparently the previous owner put the boondock saints on the trunk.

Went light on pictures this time. Job took 11 hours.

not too dirty on delivery,

XyxN0Lil.jpg

but once again I detail a car with HORRID paint repairs.

Top shows fingerprints in the clear, bottom shows the passenger side quarter panel that had crazy orange peel.

gAhDe0wl.jpg

look at this mess in the clear!

Interior kicked my tail again, customer was happy but I wasn't happy with myself, made me feel like a half-*** detailer. cloth seats, door panels, headliner all frustrated me half to death.

Carpets were black and made it hard to see stains I removed. A kid spilled coke on the passenger seat that dripped onto the floor too so that's why I took the seats out.

Washed, decon'd, C845.

These tips were a pain since the bumper wraps all the way around tightly. The insides were the worst i've done in awhile.

LizfAmAl.jpg

the driver side tip was so jacked up it pitted the chrome.

Got the adhesive off the bumper where the cheap md temp tag was stuck on.

All the headlight haze was on the inside, couldn't fix em :(

2011 CR-V purchased by my brother for his wife on Thursday. I didn't know he was buying so soon... by the time I found out he was already signing papers and it was too late to have the dealership skip the wash process. I'll give them credit though they did a good job, wasn't swirled up much at all.

Goal: Seal everything with wolfs.

CXciiOvl.jpg

Looked good on arrival, just needed some proper sealant.

WK4V5y8l.jpg

A little bit buggy

Vg59y1Yl.jpg

Looked like someone removed clear bra. this residue was stubborn. Tarminator couldn't touch it, barely made a difference during decon, ended up having to do a multiple passes with heavy compound and it still wouldn't clear up 100%.

oFsRKMMl.jpg

7JcxtVdl.jpg

left me some wax behind:

XHYn7orl.jpg

The reason why my brother wanted me to seal it up good...sap trees all over their townhouse parking lot. Really no way to avoid them.

fmSExd7l.jpg

skipped the wheels for now since I planned on removing them to fully seal.

QzvAkRQl.jpg

after the wash/decon I decided to do a light polish with SF4500 to enchance the gloss...why is the driver door swirled so much when the other panels weren't so bad?!

HQNfxI9l.jpg

of course...like usual I detail a car with terrible repaint work.

jhDjTPOl.jpg

50/50 on the terrible driver door

WrfYSz8l.jpg

better minus the run

obFXXksl.jpg

I love the CG super plush microfibres I got..so much nicer than what I've been using.

CfmG8ial.jpg

Post polish wash with special emphasis on blasting crevices to remove any hidden polish

KBOowlOl.jpg

After Body Wrap I popped the wheels off

0gsX8FIl.jpg

This is basically what they all looked like. cleaning inside the back of the spokes was a pain, and there were some really tough spots I couldn't remove.

lo6p8RRl.jpg

After the wheels I topped the body wrap with Lusso Oro since I've never used that wax before after buying it last year.

Again I took a lot of glamour shots.

exhaust polished and sealed of course:
