Low cost random orbital sanders worth considering? (Canada)

Hi,

I'm a newbie with a 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe which is rarely driven and babied. So she is in very good condition. However, I would like to do some minor paint correction and I am currently researching the right products/tools to use. I have a question in regards to whether there exist any low cost random orbitals (that I can buy in Canada) worth considering?

I was at Sears today and I saw a small handheld random orbital that was rated at 2.8 amps with variable speed from 7000 - 12000 rpm. I'm guessing it's the power and variable speed which makes these good for polishing duty. However, 7000 rpm seems a bit on the high side. Also, there are these Simoniz units from Canadian Tire which are currently on sale:

I'm also keeping an eye out on Kijiji since it's somewhat hard to justify dropping close to $200 for a Porter Cable or Griots that I am only going to use a handful of times.

you aren't going to get any correction out of the models you have posted here.

Rona usually sells the PC for around 149.00.

also, you can't beat a Griots lifetime warranty.  and they are around 140.00 in Canada as well.

nobb- Welcome to Autopia!

As noted, thoe polishers (really oughta put that "polishers" in scare-quotes!) simply aren't up to doing anything.  IMO they're simply [crap] that separates the uninformed consumer from his money.

Griot's.  It *really* will be worth the expenditure no matter how seldom you think you'll use it.  Hard to put a pricetag on time/effort/frustration/satisfaction but I'm utterly confident that you won't look back and regret the purchase.
