This is my Lotus Elise S1 after I had finished detailing it with Autoglym products. The finish is OK, but did not last very long

She has never had clay on her before, so my plan it to remove some of the swirl marks with Poorboys SSR2 and then use some fine grade clay to make her really shine. Will finish off with the Autoglym this time but will probably switch to EX-P with a top coat of P21S later .

Sweet ride. I have a friend who's on a waiting list here in Orlando. I can't wait to take it for a spin. I've heard that they are a dream to drive hard. Nice work too.
 
Looks awesome. I think the Elise is in the #1 spot of cars I want to buy right now... well when im able to at least. lol



Make sure you use the clay before the ssr2 :D

Wow! Just Wow! Good for you!



Note that claying can leave some 'smearing marks', albeit on the surface. Any superfine polish or cleaner wax will remove those marks. Point is: Clay first, while still wet from washing...



Pick a quality (& available) sealant. Apply it at least twice (with an appropriate curing time), and then a fine carnauba wax. That Blue will 'pop'!



Simply a marvelous auto...



Or, and I'm serious, let me do it in February, for about US$200...

go with some SSR1 after the SSR2, its not necessary, but it doesn't take too much time, and it will make the surface that much better for the EXP to bond to. my 2 cents.

That's a really nice go kart!



And I am 100% serious when I say that is a great compliment. I own a shifter kart, and the Elise is probably about as close as you can get and still drive it on the street.

Originally it came with an engine sourced from Rover. The cars now come with Toyota's 1.8 engine from the Celica GT-S that has been modified by Lotus to increase hp to 190.
 
Thanks everyone for your kind comments :up The car is great fun to drive, it's built using the same methods and techniques first pioneered by F1 cars, its a true Lotus classic in that it's very lightweight and the handling is fantastic!



Lowe: exactly, that is my question. I don't have a PC and considering all the shapes I don't think I will get one. there is hardly a flat surface to use it on.
 
The curves should not be a real issue with a pc IMHO. There are spot you will want to do by hand probably but every car has those. I wwould get a pc and spend some quality time polishing that machine.
