Lots of shine, still swirls

I recently went to attack some swirls on my car. I applied the s100 cleanser and then s100, but i've still got a ton of swirls/scratches, but my shine is awesome! How can I get rid of them?? Please help, this is sooo frustrating.



PS I forgot to mention that I am working by hand.
 
you need to apply a polish.

Meg's DACP or 3M Finecut rubbing compound or possibly meg's Scratch X come to mind.

Poorboys's SSR 1, SSR2, Menerza (sp?) polishes, 1Z polishes are also good, but you would have to get those online.
 
I have scratch x.. can I put it on top of the s100 or do I have to strip it down all the way again?
 
you can do it ontop



when you apply any abrasive you essentially strip anything below it, so you will need to rewax after polishing



it should take you at least 20-30 min per panel to work the polish in properly by hand
 
One more question, should I use the cleanser on top of the scratch-x then the regular s100 wax? Or skip the cleanser?
 
Well.. I can't get them out. I tried the methods above, using Scratch-X and they're still there under direct sunlight. When the sun isn't directly on them the car looks amazing.. any more advice?
