I am exhausted. I spent pretty much all day detailing one of the dirtiest Navigators I've ever seen on my "Day off". I had noone scheduled for today and slept in until around 11. I woke up and one of our good family friends was in town staying with us for the weekend. She wanted her car detailed, so I gave her the good friend discount and told her it would be $130 or $150 with synthetic sealant. The car had never been detailed and I wouldn't be surprised if it had never had a real car wash either. There were numerous stains all over the interior and the seats were severals hades darker than they should have been.
I used nearly an entire bottle of folex on the carpet and it was mcuh better when iwas doen, but some stains were not goin to come out. I also used a good bit of lexol leather cleaner and lots of elbow grease on the seats. They came out pretty well, but in some parts the dirt was just imbedded in and depsite my efforts would not come out. I just got some top og the line vinyl cleaner today and I tried that out for the first time. It worked very well and i would highly recommend it. It was much better than meguiar's Natural Shine.
The exterior was just a mess too with a good bit of swirls and scratches. The owner did not mind these and wasn't willing to pay to have them reomoved, which was fine by me. She did opt for synthetic sealant so I I went with zaino z5 followed up by z2 pro. I ended up using AIO after claying because thecar was covered in waterspots that needed to be reomved before the zaino. The AIO also took out a few swirls and cleaned the paint very well. Hiowever, this stuff is not economical enough to use for professional detailing. I will need to find another more affrodable paint cleanser soon.
Here is everything I used.
Interior
LExol leather cleaner
folex spot remover
hoover steam vac carpet cleanser
Top of the line vinyl cleaner
Exterior
Meg's NXT wash
Zaino clay
Klasse AIO
Zaino Z5
Zaino Z2 pro
