Looking into PB, need advice

Okay, so i think i've decided on a group of products for my car :)

Wash bucket kit w/grit guard, slick & suds, wash mit, dry towel
Clay bar kit w/quick detail spray
black hole
EX-P
Liquid Natty blue
spray and gloss
various pads & towels

Also thinking about:
wheel sealant
QW+
Spray & rinse wheel cleaner
bold n bright
leather stuff
pro polish

kinda got out of hand shopping... i think my cart total was north of $400! so i decided to take a step back and really evaluate if i NEED all of this, or just some of it... but god i want it all!

If you're like the rest of us, you'll find you "need" it all

Hi, I'm Ron and I'm a detail addict

:welcome:

your no different than the rest of us, there are very few who could drop that in 1 sitting, relax, it took all of us a bit of time or two to find our favorites.

I assume you need to do some correction, therefore you need SSR3, SSR2.5, and SSR1. You can skip the SSR2. The SSR1 finishes the SSR2.5 just fine.

Not the most comfortable with abrasives... MAYBE SSR1... maybe... I only have some light swirl marks that i'd wanna correct, if at all... anything else wrong with my paint is above and beyond what i feel comfortable handling myself.

ok here's my input ...

your list looks good but you will not need the QW+
if you do not want to use abrasives, then Pro Polish will be just fine for polishing and paint cleaning. You may also not need the Spray & Rinse if your wheels are not in bad shape and you don't mind doing a little polishing with the Pro Polish. Then after you polish the wheels and put the Wheel Sealant on, you will only need the Super Slick & Suds to clean the wheels.

:yourrock Awesome! :yay Good to know. So the pro polish is not abrasive? Also, what's the difference between the QW+ and the Spray & Gloss?

As for my wheels... they're chrome, and overall in pretty good shape. they have a little bit of staining/pitting from lack of cleaning brake dust? prior to me purchasing the car...

Yup, Pro Polish is a chemical polish and is as abrasive as you make it (use with a cutting pad it removes defects, use with a finishing pad it works as a final polish)

Difference is that QW+ is a spray wax and S+G is a quick detailer no wax.

Give the wheels a cleaning with the super slick and suds during your wash than hit them up with a light polishing with PP and seal with WS and your good to go :rockon

I agree. Skip the SSR's until you get a buffer.

ProPolish may be all the polish you ever need. I really like this product with the Lake Country oval hand pads. They come in a color/agressiveness sequence similar to the machine pads.

IMHO - there is NO need for ssr3 unless you are a very very competent detailer. Start with 2.5 or 2. 3 is just too abgrasive for the "average person"

My abbreviated list:
