Looking for Water Based Tire Shine

Just grabbed a bottle of this recently and really like it also.

I'm curious about the description on the bottle, though. There are a couple of misspellings and I can't be sure if they mean "rim" detailer or left off the "t" in "trim" detailer.

Makes more sense to me that it would also serve as a "trim" detailer. ?

I am thinking that it is supposed to be "rim" detailer. The bottle says a number of times that it is good for all rubber and plastic trim. It then states, "also an excellent rim detailer", as a seperate bullet point.

This is turning into another of those "what is the best product" threads and you end up getting 14 million different answers and the truth is any of the products mentioned work just fine so just get the one that's most convenient to get or on sale or what ever. Tire dressing isn't rocket science.

Bingo !!!! 5 things govern my tire dressing

1) Must not sling

2) Is it for my car

3) Is it for a customer car

4) Do I / They want gloss or matte

5) Is it for daily driver or car show.

My favorite is Optimum Opti-Bond for tires, it's lasting around a week for me (even with rain once or twice). I dilute it 2:1 and do 1 coat, wait 30 minutes and do a second coat. It leaves an excellent non-glossy shine, looks like the tires just rolled out of the factory if you know what I mean. I also put Collinite 476s on the wheels, makes cleaning off brake dust REALLY easy and is holding out for two weeks for me, this is my first time trying it.

Yeah, I just had another look at it, and you're absolutely right.

.....just seems odd to me, is all.

As to the other comment about it not being rocket science: good point and I would normally agree. However, I drive a truck with a lot of surface area on the sidewalls

and I've found some dressings just don't take well to them....Mother's FX being one of them, unfortunately.

So, I tend to be a little choosier about what I use on them.
