Looking for Water Based Tire Shine

I like a lot of shine on my tires but I do not like the goop that most silicon based tire shines have and not to mention they attract dirt worse that a magnet, what are the best high shine water based tire shine products out there? Need somme suggestions have to make an order soon.

I like 1z-einszett's Vinyl and Rubber Protector, for a shine I think you probably need 2 coats. Another good choice is Optimum Opti-Bond.

For a high shine water bases tire dressing I can only think of Poorboys Bold and Bright. There are others but its just not coming to mind right now. Tropi care/ShowroomFx v2 is another one but you might need two or so applications.

I also like Zaino Z-16.

If you like hi-shine though, go for Megs Hotshine or Wolfgang Tire Gel. I don't believe its water based but its nice and shiney (you can always wipe down to reduce the shine to a desirable level), doesn't attract much dirt, and keeps a matte black tire once the shine wears off for weeks.

Go to your local Autozone and pick up the Eagle One No Drip Tire Shine Gel. It costs about 4 or 5 dollars and is water based. It's not really liquid it's a gel and is very high gloss and no drips. I have been using this for about a year now and it's my favorite now. I used to use Mothers FX Tire Shine but I can't find it locally any more so I switched to the Eagle One.

Bold & Bright is good but I've recently come to like Meg's Hyperdressing. One thing about it s you can dilute it to suit your preference on shine. I use it 1 part ot 3 of water and it gives a nice finish. 1 to 1 would be very shiny. It dries to the touch after a while so it doesn't attract dust.

right around $6 and one bottle will last a long time. this and also the EO1 no drip tire shine gel have worked well IME...

I just got some of the new Optimum tire gel, and it's amazing. It's water-based, but after the first application I drove it through two rainstorms and it didn't seem to come off at all. It looks like more of a cream than a gel, and goes on very easy. Great stuff.

The Eagle One is what I was suggesting in my post.

All does that armourall stuff sling?

not IME, compared to all the other tire gel dressings and it's water based so it doesn't create and leave a mess to clean up. this is easily one of the the best OTC tire gel dressings out, and it's reasonably priced as well. one bottle lasts quite a while...

i use showroom fx stuff, i love it 2 coats give a nice deep mat look three or more bumps up the gloss it lasts like 3 weeks, and is right around 30 a gallon cant beat it plus they have a new apc thats 10 beans a gallon to justify your shipping charges!

Meg's Hyper Dressing is about the most-versatile water based dressing. I like it at 3:1

OptiBond is also good. Lasts a little longer than most water based dressings. I dilute it 1:1 and buff it off with a mf "brick" applicator. It seems to take differently to different tires; some tires it looks really "Black" on, while others it just kinda sits there for a while.

Meg's Natural Shine really shocked me, it does great on certain tires. (BFG and Continental).

PB BoldNBright is a lot like Chem. Guys Silk-Shine Sprayable; they both look 99.999% the same to me (feel/application/final look).

I've tried a lot of tire dressings and these are my four favorites one ...

Zaino Z-16- great product, need two coats for maximum gloss.

Duragloss 253- I can't tell the difference between Z-16 and 253. I have noticed that the 253 last a little bit longer though. CarQuest carries the DG line. 251 is the same product, but in a 8oz bottle.

Surf City Beyond Black Tire Pro- recently became an OTC product. Pep Boys, Napa, and Advance Auto Parts should be carrying it.

Showroom FX (Tropi-Care) White Pearl- excellent tire dressing that lasts a long time. Great matte finish with one application.
