looking for feedback on door ding gaurd?

has anyone purchased the autopia door ding guard?? i need something to put on my cars when parked in public parking lots. i was thinking it may well cause scratches if the car is not perfectly clean all the time..which unfortunetly its not..at least in winter



any feedback...good/ bad? found anything else to avoid dings?
 
Are you talking about the magnetic one? I bought a couple of these years ago. The magnetic strip doesn't last long but they do protect the car doors. What I did though was improve on it a bit. First I pasted some terry on the back so no plastic or the strip contacts the paint. Then I punched a hole at the top of the strip on either end and tie some ribbon. I then feed the ribbon through the windows and close them. This keeps the guard in place while positioning it exactly where I want it, kind of looks like the guard has suspenders.
