Looking for an inexpensive light to highlight swirls, etc.

Hi all. I'm just looking for something decent (by no means does it need to be 'great') and inexpensive that will help show swirls, etc. when I take pictures to post to this forum to ask for advice. Would prefer just a small flashlight or something like that, don't want one of those monster-sized lights that I've seen for sale.

Would prefer to not even spend $30 (swirlfinder light - Google Search)... Is there anything cheaper?

Thanks for any thoughts!

If you happen to have a Tuesday Mornings store by you, they sometimes will have the Brinkmann dual xenon for 13 bucks. It's been a few years since I got mine there. They were so cheap I bought two and gave one to a bud.

i've had two brinkmann's and won't buy another one again. the one that worked barely held a charge and the other was DOA right out of the package and wouldn't charge. if you are going to spend around $30, pick up the griots version as it basically looks to serve the same purpose and not to mention it comes with a lifetime warranty AND you have 180 days to play with it and if you don't like it, send it back and get a something else or a refund (get free shipping right now through the 27th with code "vyw"). if you don't want to spend much money, buy a LED flashlight (i have an eleven bulb) and they can be had for relatively (check your local biglots) cheap. i use one all the time to clean my cd/dvd's lol...

if you wanted to go even cheaper, may i suggest a led flashlight? i have one that has 5 little led bulbs and it works just as good as the brinkman. i think it was around $12 or so

exactly, i bought an 11 bulb LED flashlight and it was only $5 at big lots...

Also consider old-fashioned incandescent trouble lights (the kind with the conical aluminim shade). I got mine at Lowe's (forget the cost, but nice and cheap) and I prefer them over most anything (well, SunGun excepted) for final inspections, especially with metallic paints.
